I was given a whole bag of seed packets this weekend, so I had to write them all down in my garden journal along with some reference photos from the internet of what the plants actually look like. The viola in the top right corner is partially obscured by a flip-up salvia nemorosa photo I just couldn’t squeeze in there.
In that text heavy journal entry I write about those pens pictured: my grandmother gave me the hot pink brush tip Sharpie, and I thought it was so wonderful. Less than a day later, I found the blue one—and that pink highlighter—in the road undamaged and full of ink! Yay, karma!
Finally, the barred owl in the last photo is one of two that frequent the sycamore tree in my yard. I finally got a shot of him, though it’s quite shitty. It’s even shittier as a photo of a photo.
